Microspire and Dearborn have more than 25 years experience in the manufacture of wound magnetics. Microspire specializes in the design and production of high precision inductors and transformers for high-performance applications in high grade electronics.

Specialty magnetics are built with the advantage of having no insulator between the aluminum wound foil layers. The anodization of aluminum acts as the insulator. This results in a weight loss of 30% which is extremely important for airborne applications.  These are used on aircraft such as 787’s.
