Dearborn Electronics, Inc., an Exxelia company has more than 25 years experience in providing high voltage capacitors to various industries. Several dielectrics, such as plastic; plastic + paper; reconstituted mica and ceramic are used for manufacturing high voltage capacitors. Many are impregnated with solid thermo-setting resins such as epoxy, polyester or silicone to prevent corona.
This technology provides very high stability of mechanical and electrical characteristics with temperature capabilities of -55°C to as high as +200°C without voltage de-rating, using the appropriate dielectrics. Rated voltages range from 1kV to as high as 20kV with capacitance ranges spanning from 100pF to as high as 30µF with stored energy capability of 150 joules.
